I've lived up here for 27 years now. I genuinely don't think I have EVER seen a weather forecast like this for Cumbria.

Bit cheesed off with Tuesday 8th though - I've got a site visit that day......

Incredible how much of an impact it has on mood and life generally. Being able to take the dog out in the evenings as the sun sets (and not have to worry about him getting mud everywhere), drive with the sunroof open and for the kids to be content playing in the garden have all made my life feel much better in the last week.

My thoughts too - was a very dry winter overall too

Not in Sussex, overall above average rainfall from September until end Feb. Virtually nothing in March though and groundwater levels now falling.

Agreed. Out the wind it lovely but it’s fresh in the shade. My short wearing lasted one day.

“Feels like” was -1 according to my weather app. More like about that heading out, eastwards and ‘“feels like” proper summer heading home.

I agree with my learned friend @Guinness Boy - quite a bite to that wind today.

Out for three dog walks today for a total of 11 miles, and up high on the Downs walking into that wind wasn't pleasant, particularly on walk #1 of the day much of which was pre-dawn now the clocks have shifted.

Still in shorts though, but I am all year round for dog walking.
