no Im completely confused. Im not sure what file extension it is?? Ive d/l'ed cahmpionship manager 4 , which initially comes out as a .tar app, so I extracted it and it has come out with 19 files that can't be opened with anything. No Bin or cue??

Hmm - funnily enough i had the same experience today, spent 3 hours downloading 250mb file via kazaa cmblahblah4_bin.exe, tried to run the exe and it crashes straight away.

What am i doing wrong, or do i need to do?

yes thats a bin file copy it as an image file via Nero and save it as the cue file and bobs ya uncle run the prog from the CD.

why do i have to burn it to cd?

u have to burn .bin files, although if it is an Mpeg u have downloaded u can convert it, however if it's a game follow these instructions.
