Met Fatboy on the roof of the Maths Building at So'ton Uni. Introduced myself as an Albion fan, first thing he said to me: "Do you use North Stand Chat?" :jester:

I didn't. But do now.

The corner quietly rusting
One search engine or another guided me to the Seagull Server back in 98.

My mate Gangster put me onto it.
I took him to his first Albion match circa 1988.
He has since become more fanatical & loyal than I could have imagined.
Good work fella!

Seagull server - that rings a bell. I was Dave the Scoop around 97-98 and have dipped in and out ever since. Whatever happend to Bueono or whatever he called himself? The PA Twat from Orient who came on with really abusive comments until someone rumbled him and threated to tell Mr Hearn? Was he ever seen in the same room as FG?

I was looking for the TV remote one day, and it had fallen down the back of the settee. It was all caught up in the lining, so I had to cut it free. While doing this, I saw something glistening out of the corner of my eye. It was a piece of Bacofoil which had been screwed up into a little ball. I reached down further into the depths of my settee, pulled out the Bacofoil ball, and carefully unravelled it to reveal a message which said:

"Look unto the North my son, beneath a steaming mound"
"The wonders that doth lie within, salvation will be found"

I had a steaming mound at the back of my garden at the time, which was North of the settee. So I pulled on a pair of wellies, put on my gardening gloves, and delved into the steaming mound. It took me the best part of an hour, but eventually after a lot of digging, I came across a small wooden vole carved of oak. Chiselled into the voles hind quarters were the letters: "www.northstandchat.co.uk".
So of course, I dashed indoors, logged on, signed in....and the rest, as they say, is history. That wooden vole sits atop my monitor to this day.

I wa son the seagulls mailing list and someone mentioned it many moons ago so I thought I'd check it out.

Now I'm no longer on the mailing list and am on here a lot instead.

Been on NSC on and off since about 98/99 but regular for the last two or three years.

Easy I am going to get the sack one of these days (mind you I'm giving my notice in when I move anyway)

I was choking with laughing trying to answer the phone then
