I know we're all looking forward to seeing the Croydon clowns getting some almighty tonkings this season. Which set me thinking.
How about if we sponsor them to let in as many goals as possible?
The idea would be to pledge an amount for every time the ball hits the back of their net (20p say). Then at the end of the season we give the money to a suitable charity (a childrens' charity in Croydon say).
It might be a laugh and do something for a good cause at the same time.
I'll start by by pledging 50p for every goal.
