With the current hosepipe and sprinkler ban now in place I was wondering what sort of effect this will have on the preperations of the playing surface at Withdean ahead of the new season?

It's all in hand.

Every supporter is going to be asked to come to the match with a full watering can which will be used to water the pitch.

Seriously there may well be exceptions for such uses - why don't you Ask The Club?

Commercial business' which require water are normally exempt from the bans, i.e. gardener's, car washes etc.

I would assume that the Albion would also be exempt.

No, it is definately a FULL hosepipe ban as of today and it includes Brighton.

But I think what people said about commercial entities being exempt makes sense and hopefully the Withdean pitch should fit into this catagory
