First time I ever got drunk was on Hooch, I was 15 and drank litres of the stuff and it didn't taste alcoholic:sick::sick::sick:

I was so ill I bloodshot my eyes from retching and didn't drink another alcopop until october 2011.

And the hooch incident was 19 years ago.

It was somewhat ironic when they released an Apple Hooch... the alcohol content of Hooch was from cider so Apple Hooch = Cider the cycle was complete.

I think the first time I got drunk was on Hooper's Hooch and Strawberry/Kiwi flavoured (?) 20/20.

Oh f*** yeah i threw up a few times after consuming mad dog 20/20 Strawberry Kiwi . The other one was Thunderbird that shit was bad.

Mix with Kaliber for an excellent reverse shandy.

Bloody hell that takes me back. I remember drawing that logo on the blackboards over the bar in the Park View back in the day.

Happy days. Too long ago.

Am I right in saying that Two Dogs was the first alcoholic lemonade? I had it in clapham in 1995 and I'd not seen any before that.

I was 15/16 when Hooch first game out and me and a mate were given a crate of 24 bottles for some promotional thing, we drank the lot in a park. I remember it burning my throat like razors everytime I burped the next day.

I think hooch was first to market. I certainly remember it coming onto my radar before two dogs.

I think Two Dogs was released first but Hooch had the better marketing and was the more popular.

I remember drinking all these as a mid teenager, 20/20, white lightening, diamond white, thunderbirds.

I remember a cider called Pulse, bought that one day, was 75p for 1.5 litre bottle and buy one get one free as well! The stiff smelled horrific and tasted worse, I made the decision to neck the first bottle as quick as I could as it really was that revolting, 10 minutes later I didn't feel drunk so necked the second bottle. Needless to say the night didn't end well for me.:(

I couldn't even smell cider again until this summer, and now funnily enough cider has become my tipple of choice, that Pulse really put me off apples, for a long long time.

Ha Ha and the temptation to sniff your fingers afterwards was too great

God I remember all the drinks in this thread. I was already about 17/18 when the alcopops came around, so thought I was being all big and manly by dismissing them as being for girls and 14-year-olds. I think my knee-jerk reaction has stood the test of time, though.

I also remember getting two-litre bottles of Merrydown cider for £1.99 from an, erm, "liberal" off-licence near BHASVIC when I was there, and drinking it with my mates in the gaps between lessons.
