Hoddle Out!!! Bad News For Bob?

Was on sky sports. Quite suprised myself! It was the media who started it. most fans want him to stay. They've only played 6 games for goodness sake. I think Southampton are a better team anyway. Stupid decision.

Bobby will be ok (I hope). With the injuries they'll probably get, he'll get a few games.

Should have followed Micky. Shame he couldn't afford him as Bobby would have been better learning from Dicov.

Tottenham have announced that Glenn Hoddle has left the club with immediate effect.

The former England boss Hoddle has come under increasing pressure following the club's dismal start to the new Premiership season.

Saturday's 3-1 home defeat by Southampton appears to have come as the final straw for Hoddle, who left the Saints to take over at White Hart Lane two years ago.

Spurs finished 10th last season but Hoddle was allowed to bring in three strikers - Helder Postiga, Frederic Kanoute and Bobby Zamora - for an outlay of around £11million.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said: "Glenn and I spoke this evening. Following two seasons of disappointing results, there was a significant investment in the team during the summer, in order to give us the best possible chance of success this season.

"Unfortunately, the start to this season has been our worst since the Premiership was formed.

"Coupled with the extremely poor second half to last season, the current lack of progress and any visible sign of improvement are unacceptable.

"It is critical that I, and the board, have absolute confidence in the manager to deliver success to the club. Regrettably we do not.

"It is not a decision we have taken lightly. However, we are determined to see this club succeed and we must now move forward."

Spurs are second from bottom in the Premiership after collecting just four points from their opening six games.

Not the feeling I got when looking/gloating at their message boards earlier. Still who cares eh? Not our problem unless they show an interest in SC??

Bring back Christian Gross I say. Best thing that ever happened to spurs. :lolol:

Lot of my friends are Sprs fans and they thought he should have had time while the new team "gelled" (excuse my spelling)!

Christian Gross....what a man!:lolol:

Glen Roeder? Harry Redknapp? SC won't go. Who's heard of Brighton?:lolol:

I can't help but think Hoddle deserves this.

His lousy man-management techniques and bully boy tactics clearly didn't work. Hard to imagine where he will get another job, however, I am sure his personal bank balance will swell after this dismissal.
