Ha while this thread was being composed I was rummaging around for alcohol.

Having spent much of 25 years hammered I don't really touch the stuff any more.
(Not an 'anonymous' thing, more of a been there done that, can't do a hangover, type thing)

But I'm struggling at the moment and could do with unwinding.
(Honest this isn't a panicked cry for help thing - I just need a beer)

Anyhoo there's occasionally a bottle or two in the back of a cupboard, after big TV sport or something.
But no the house is dry, except for the back of one particular unused cupboard.

What we have here is:-

Old Peculiar - sell by Dec 14.
Old Thumper - sell by Nov 12.
Half a bottle of Port.
Zubrowka Polish maple Wodka - 35%
A shot of Ron Trinidad knock off Bacardi.
& obviously
2 litres of Gin.

Does anyone fancy any punch?

I foresee a very heavy head in the morning, trouble is Port goes down too easily and the later stages of the evening may see another bottle being opened

I do like a drop of Port, unfortunately the feeling isn't mutual

Pop it all in a carrier bag, go for a walk and as soon as you see a house that has flashing lights and loud music, knock on the door…….if challenged, hand over the bag and say ‘Dave said it was okay to come along’

Mrs V would have found that " Unused " cupboard's contents well within their best before dates.

As I can't be arsed to go out to buy nice alcohol, going out and talking to people seems unlikely.

In a pile of football shirts
A couple of pints of Firebird Sussex bitter in the 5 Bells Smock Alley to toast the passing of a good friend, Geoff, then home with a bottle of Gyejacquot fizz and homemade Thai curry, Geoff’s favourite. Now settling down with some Brewdogs from my advent calendar and Venom on the TV.

Two whisky and ginger beers over ice, followed by a cab sav so cheeky it needs a slap, accompanied by some sausage pasta bake thingy. That Barolo above looks better behaved.

5 pints of Symonds, 2 or 3 (maybe 4) shots of posh tequila, half a bottle of half decent New Zealand white wine (finish it off in a bit)

Taking it easy, busy day tomorrow.
