I remember the day after the Hereford match we went to see David Baddiel at the Dome , Frank Skinner sat next to us throughout the show , needless to say the match was mentioned on more than one occasion that evening, great evening and great memories

Skinner did a great line at his Dome show at about that time. He said that West Brom's recent success and Blair's victory supported his theory that their fortunes had always risen and fallen with those of the Labour party. He mused on whether there was an equivalent for Brighton, concluding that it was the SDP: A big noise in the early eighties and f-all ever since.
