TWO-GOAL Tomer Hemed has urged table-topping Albion not to let their early momentum slip after the international break.
The £1 million summer buy from Almeria scored twice in the 3-2 win at Ipswich which knocked the hosts off the Championship summit and put the Seagulls there instead.
“It’s a good position to go into the international break. After that it’s very important that we come back in the same shape, with the same quality and mentality.
“We don’t want the break to take us down.”
Albion could still make a tenth addition to the first team squad before tomorrow’s transfer deadline, although they may have to wait until January to land striker Jonathan Calleri from Argentinian club Boca Juniors.
They believe Calleri, sent off on Saturday evening for elbowing a Gimnasia LP opponent, has great potential but there are complications connected to completing a deal.
Boss Chris Hughton said: “If we don’t sign one more I’ll be incredibly happy with what I have got here at the moment, because I have a team that is fighting very hard and are very motivated.”
Albion’s next match, dedicated to the victims of the Shoreham Airshow disaster, is another top-of-the-table tussle against second-placed Hull at the Amex on September 12.
