Help Needed Please

[One Legged Striker]

I'm trying to work out which year i first watched the Albion, I can remember my great Grandad taking me to watch a pre season friendly verses spurs around the mid eightees, anyone know the year and date please.

Are you sure it was a friendly because we played Spurs Friday August the 8th 1986 for Gerry Ryans testimonial,hope that helps.
