[News] Heads up; A259 closed at Lancing Beach Green

For those heading in or out of Worthing, Road closed in both directions at Beach Green. Seems a pedestrian was hit crossing the road. Can be nasty along there at times.
Was walking on the green this morning when air ambulance landed.
Emergency vehicles still there so might be a while.

Have to say, when I cycled past at 08:30, things did not look good.
Air Ambulance was still stationed in the car park.
Unfortunately, I did witness a person wrapped in a grey blanket, being wheeled into the ambulance.
Thoughts with family of the injured person.

Oh dear. To be honest, crossing the road afterward and seeing the state of the car and what was on the road, I thought there would probably be bad news. The road has only just opened again.
Very sad.
