Before this Wickes deal with the football league came about I didn't know that about the Wickes Archer connection. I have bought tiles and things from there in the past.

I wont shop there in future but has anyone else shopped there and not known anything about the conection until the past couple of weeks.

Mrs OTLW did so a few months ago ... almost caused a divorce!!!! Particulary as B&Q is just across the road!

Don't use them. Go here http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/home.jsp
They're experiencing problems at the moment but they're unbelievably cheap. Wanted a siphon flush for the toilet at the weekend. B&Q £7.99. Screwfix £3.79.
Superb :clap2:

To be fair Wickes was only bought by Archer's group fairly recently

I have always used Wickes for large scale building supplies but won't use it at all since Archer bought it. Builder Center, Travis Perkins and Jewson are good alternatives.

Only time I use Wickes or Focus is to test the strength of their plastic bags containing nails, screws, washers and little items that go everywhere when there's a hole in the bottom of the bag:lolol:

Childish I know but I always leave their stores with a spring in my step and a smile on my face.
