If you accept that it is not going to be like the old original Harry Ramsdens now that the company is owned by a national company , Japanese I think, then it is ok but if you set your sights on it being an individual fish and chip shop, as it was originally, you will be disappointed.

You will be disappointed. Harry Ramsdens in Guiseley is the only true place. All the rest are franchised.

Yes, people would drive for miles to eat in or have the takeaway. Proper beef dripping for the fat, piping hot and crispy batter. I haven't been there for years but have heard that that has gone downhill now as well.

Oh well, bit too far to drive there for an evening meal.

Mind you I had a very nice fish and chips the night before the Grimsby game.

I wouldnt argue as I am possibly wrong, but I was under the impression that even the original one isnt any more, and all are owned and franchised by the parent company.

Which is why I said I heard it had gone downhill.

I went to the original shop once in the olden days. It was all starched linen tablecloths and as formal a chippy as ever there was.

Nestling in green nowhere
Get in your car after the game

Drive to Worthing

Go to the fish factory near steine gardens

Ignore other advice.
