Happy birthday

for those of you who don't know or are too old too remember Gareth coughed up nearly 1000 cigarettes worth of tar in the name of the original REMF football match, he's now officially retired from the game and is nearly old enough to be reactionary

Cheers :lolol:

As the player who took him out in the a pre-REMF friendly, may I just offer my apologies again, and say Happy Birthday to a NCS stalwart, without whom the gamblers would be a lot better off.

Zef.

I came out of retirement after 5 years to play in the match. I managed most of the training sessions and was getting some level of fitness back and the old eye of goal when in the last training session before the game, WHACK !. Dick Kinght's Mum ( David Ginola ) hammered me with an outrageous challenge from behind.

I played 25 minutes in the 1st and 15 in the second but the injury prevented me from my usual surging runs up the wing. I did score of the penalties and turned round to the Albion fans and gave a John Peircy type punch in the air. A proud moment.

I wasn't in any way critisising you Gareth, I hadnt played for over 5 years and struggled to gain any fitness, had a sitter saved in injury time , buggered my knee up again playing on a frozen cow field and havent played since

as for clatterings . . . .I seem to recall you dishing out a few in the training sessions

I will mostly be gambling today with the odd shot of whisky to help matters along.

I may go to Brighton races but have overnight developed a cold and sore throat  .

I think Jazzy Millenium in the 4.40 at Brighton will win, 4/1.

I rooted around in the undergrowth last night and guess what they have gone AWOL. I think the thought of a trip to Withdean has made them risk the main road and wander off to another garden.

Hedgehogs walk 3 miles a night on average. They probably found tastier slugs and snails across the road.
