It's been widely said that he has a release clause - but unless Colchester are very stupid indeed he can't just walk away. It will be that he can talk to clubs (probably the clause dictates at least Championship clubs) if they match a certain fee - presumably at least what they paid us. He'll have to have played pretty well in all these defeats if he is to be a Championship player next year.

Neither had we paid 125k or whatever we got for Hammond just a couple of months beforehand either. He ain't just gonna be able to walk I ouldn't have thought, someone will have to pay money for him. Colchester cannot be that stupid can they?
