Yeates seemed the only player who could make anything happen in todays game. I may be biased as i have always thought he was a class act.

Hammond did what Hammond does, not alot but sits and protects the back four. Amazed i witnessed him play a forward ball for the first time at withdean!

I thought Yeates was class when he was here, always looking to create something.

I've watched Colchester 3 times this season and Hammond and Yeates have consistantly been the best players by far BUT today they didn't really have much influence on the game. Perkins is a decent little player, we have someone at the same standard as him on our BENCH who bares a slight resemblance to him... IDIOT Adams. Did anyone else see Thornton in the last minutes of the game DO like 4-5 players, why he was on the bench i do not know..

Hammond did his job which was tidy and exactly what he did here and what we now miss. Yeates did alright but went missing for long periods of the game. Generally they were shite but we were worse

I have always thought Hammond does a quality job doing what no one notices. He touches the ball an awful lot and does what our midfielders fail to do and read the game. YOu don't see him tackle much or pass the ball forward, because he picks up where the ball is going and gives it to those that can play like Yeates. For me he was part of the reason we lost today. That and Adams inability to bring on some creative players.
