Mirror on line yesterday reported Huddlestone deal off with Stoke and finished with line - Tottenham must pay Brighton £1.5m in compensation for Grant Hall.

Paper talk or fact?????

If true lets hope it helps out any deals before Friday 11pm:drama::drama:

£1.5M been mentioned more than once in national press... not sure it's true, unfortunately... would be a good amount...

This sounds like classic Dick Knight, when the papers started talking about "the £5m rated Gareth Barry" ahead of our compensation deal being thrashed out. I believe it was Dick Knight himself who first started calling him "£5m rated".

If we get £1.5m for a player who was let go by us for various reasons, re-signed, played two games and buggered off I'd bit their hand off. If we get £1.5 that is...

Unless a tribunal has happened and none of us know about it (possible) I don't see how the £1.5m figure can be sure. Maybe it is what we're asking for, as an opening position. It does seem an incredibly high amount, not that I'd be complaining if it is true. :)
