Greg Halford admits he “could do a lot worse” than committing his longer-term future to Albion.
The on-loan defender impressed in yesterday’s 1-0 defeat by Norwich City as he kept his place ahead of the suspension-free Lewis Dunk.
Halford is out of contract at Nottingham Forest this summer and concedes he could face an unsettling few weeks.
He saidf: “I’m definitely playing for my future.
“It’s s strange situation I find myself in, I’ve never had it before so I’m fighting and scrapping with everyone to play as many minutes as I possibly can.
“It’s really unsettling. Playing here is helping because if I was sitting on the bench it would make it a lot harder to earn a contract for next year.
“I’m playing well at the minute but there’s a lot more to come.”
Halford hinted he would welcome a contract offer from the Seagulls.
