Even worse than that, we've been getting his surname wrong too, according to a spanish speaking guy on 5live last night it's pronounced Porjet, with the T sounded, not silent.

Yep. Gus said on MOTD the other month it's 'Pour-shjet' (rhymes with courgette, sort of...).

BUT if you saw Gus on MOTD kickabout last week (CBBC footie prog for kids) he said, 'hi, it's Gus Poyet here' so he knows full well that when in England he's stuck with the 'Poyett' pronunciation.
