Chris Adams has been chosen as one of Wisden's five cricketers of the year.

Top honour for the guy - can't remember the last Sussex player to be in (an idea that it was Alan Wells) but it's not something that happens often.:clap2: :clap2:

Brighton Bears champions
Albion champions?

Get the idea?
Well done all concerned

Qualification is to have been one of the five outstanding cricketers in the previous english season.

Ccan only be a Cricketer of the Year once. Which is why Mushy and Murray aren't in this years list. Althoug one could have made an exccellent case for Richard Montgomerie.

this years 5 are:
Andrew Flintoff, Chris Adams, Gary Kirsten, Graeme Smith and Ian Harvey.

Grizzly is the first english Sussex player to gain this accolade since Tony Greig in 1975 - if you count AWG as English and not S.African. (Imran Khan got it in 1983 but it was for his performances for Pakistan). and he is the first player to get the award for his county performances since before the war.
