Albion captain Gordon Greer has been ruled out of Saturday's trip to his old club Blackburn Rovers.
The Scottish centre-half, who launched his career in English football at Ewood Park 15 years ago, went off injured in the closing stages at Rotherham on Tuesday on his return from three matches out with hamstring trouble.
Manager Chris Hughton said: "He'll miss the game but it's very slight. The good news is that it's more neural (nerve-related) than a specific injury.
"He'll miss Saturday but we're very confident he'll be fit and available for the following Saturday (home to Huddersfield)."
Greer's absence means Connor Goldson is set for his first away League start alongside the recently error-prone Lewis Dunk.
