Gordon Greer has admitted defeat to tonsillitis and pulled out of a potential Scotland debut.
The Albion skipper was not in the party which headed to Zagreb today.
He appeared to be fending off the illness this week according to reports from north of the border.
But he has now been deemed not fit enough for the trip and match.
The Scots have been badly affected by illness and injury with Seagulls midfielder Liam Bridcutt (groin) among the absentees.
