Makel ban shocks Plymouth

Plymouth Argyle have been stunned by the news that new midfielder Lee Makel will be suspended for the first two games of the new campaign.

Makel earned the suspension by receiving 11 booking for Livingston in the Scottish premier league last term.

David Friio will also missing the opening two games of the new season.

The enforced absence of the pair means that Pilgrims manager Bobby Williamson will be fairly restricted in terms of his midfield options.

Don't know about Makel, but Friio was pretty useful for them last season...
