County Cricket has arrived and is more complicated than the football. It includes 11 different pitch types, batting aggression, weather conditions, bonus points and all manner of complications. It could prove interesting knocking up a spreadsheet for this one.

I also bought World of Golf that lets you run a full tournament on a course of your choice. This includes form, weather conditions and other such factors.

Prepare for a winter of simulations!

I might try simulating a match this afternoon if I get home at a reasonable time, just to get my head around it. There are no individual players, only averages for partnerships. If I run a game, I'll post a summary.

Don't worry - I'll play with myself, so to speak! I just want an idea of how it works so I can think about automating some of it.

It will be a much slower game as the blurb says it will take 20 minutes to simulate 1 match. I can't run it as a game on here until Football has finished and we are ready for a full on 18 player game.

One decision that will have to be made is which season to use. It comes with 1990-1999 - I'm sure we all want last season but that would mean me knocking up stats which will skew the realism somewhat.
