I've been getting into golf recently, although I'm still not playing respectably.

Trouble is it conflicts with some other interests (like on Saturday afternoons). I even missed the Luton game.

Why do I somehow feel guilty?

Tried to play it but gave up although was pleased with progress at the time.

Something I'd like to do when retirement beckons.

However enjoy watching it on TV.

I love playing golf, but it would NEVER interfere with an Albion match. I am crystal clear on those priorities.

There's nothing quite like twatting a 1 wood 250 yards down the middle of a fairway (although more often than not, I end up slicing it into the rough and getting stung to shit on my shins looking for the bloody thing).

I hate golf but by 10 year old son has got absolutely hooked. He plays up at Hollingbury whereas I've never been onto a proper golf course in my life.

However I'm going to learn so that we can do something together when, like Beach Hut, retirement beckons and I'm too senile to play anything else.

Its a passion that needs fitting in around the Albion...saying that I missed Saturdays match as I was playing golf !! Once you start playing to a reasonable standard it gets you hooked. For instance, I have Today off work to play at Chartham Park:) :) :)
My handicap has steadily come down to 11 over the past few years and have won a few trophies and a fair amount of money to spend in the pro shop in that time.

Golf is also a great way of staying (or getting) fit.

And so you should!..:D Sorry, I hate the game with a passion. Where I work, playing golf is akin to belonging to the masons. It opens up a lot of doors you could say!? IMO it is the the root of all coruption where I work. Strange how every incompetent twat who becomes a manager also happens to play golf!?... I always have to fight to get a shift change so I can watch the Albion. If it was to play golf though??............
Around six months ago the twats all fell out because someone had fiddled/f***ed up the handicaps for a tournament or something. Mass sulking for weeks, that caused no end of bad feeling.

Nope, its a good walk wasted IMO.......
