hello.
im doing some research for some writing about the seasons 1995-1997 at the goldstone ground, and i have a few games which i still need to know a bit of extra info. if any of you were at the games i would love your help.

1995 - game against notts county, sit down protest on the halfway line, junior mcdougall scored, was it a header?

after one game there was protests along the road on the 4 way traffic area, anyone remember which game that was after?

cheers.
Jon

Way out west
I can remember being part of a protest behind the West Stand, everyone was shouting "sack the board"...which we all know is impossible as they have to resign...can't remember which game it was though.

Was that the game where Liam Brady came out at half time to talk to the fans sat in the centre circle?

I don't remember much about the game (I was 10 years old). I was sat at the front of the South stand with my dad and brother. I remember being pretty amused at the fans sat in the centre circle and I thought it was great when Brady came out and spoke to the fans. They clearly liked what he had to say and all dispersed after he had spoke (to my memory...).

I was in the West stand for the second half of this.We gave Sam Allardyce stick in the Notts county dug out all half.Very stressful time to be an Albion fan but looking back on it all and it is quite funny.I wouldnt remember this game if it was just any normal game at the Goldstone.:gossip:
I have the goal on tape.....it wasnt a header it was a low drive from just inside the box.

One thing I seem to remember about Junior McDougal is that I think he claimed to be a relative of Les Ferdinand and hoped to be as good? Oh well :)

The Hereford walkout was accompanied by Attilla's Munich Beer Hall Putsh-style rallying from the wall outside the ticket office, which was greeted by chants of "Who the f***ing hell are you?" (or similar). Orange flares let off as well if I remember correctly.

Once the news all broke of what those c#nts were up to, there was a small protest after the 1st Goldstone game. Those protests grew match by match and some got quite tasty. (Insider was in on it all as well thumbsup:).

We had some fun on the 'picket' especially watching bellotti's attempts to leave the ground. I think his tyres may have been let down on one occasion.

There was a time when a few of us actually got into the ground and bellotti came and met us and gave us his vision for the future, at toads Hole.

It was hard to take the lying toad seriously and all i could concentrate on was wondering just how far up those spindly legs did his long socks go? Must have been a real turn-on for his child bride.
