The one of the North East terrace reminded he of that bloke who I seem to remember was jumping up and down stark bollock naked. Anyone else remember that or am I going mad?

You can see my nan and grandads house in the background of the one looking out from the north stand - 35 Goldstone Lane. It's still painful going round there. Happy happy days though.

I never saw us play there, although i did go there once, just before it was demolished....

I went there today. I didn't go in, i was just curious. I've felt the need to go there in ages, to the gold stone in Hove Park, to sort of pay my respects in a way, as i never was able to (that might sound incredibly sad, but it's true).

Anyway, it was a pretty emotional experience. I didn't go any further than the car park, but my mind was full of pictures and videos i've seen of moments as the place..and yet now it's a bloody Toys R Us. It's just gut wrenching, how i'd love to be supporting the Albion now in the old North Stand, with atmosphere, and thousands in the ground.... But standing in the car park, where the goal must have been was soo sad it was unreal..

I'll probably never go there again, but i HAD to go, just to kill curiousity (i cant hardlt remember the view when i first went there, peaking through a gate onto the West Terrace i think). I understand why some of you have vowed never to touch the place. It was sad to me, god knows what it's like for those with memories of growing up as a kid, etc etc...

Archer, Bellotti, Stanley - You are SCUM!

Neither here nor there
I was a North Stander but my first and last Albion matches were watched from the East. The Goldstone was a state by the end of its life but I don't think any new stadium will ever quite capture the spirit of the old place, or at least what it meant to me.

I wonder what could have been achieved on that plot of land if all the money that has been spent in the past decade had been poured into redevelopment instead of ground sharing fees, legal fees, planning enquiries etc etc ... not to mention the lot revenue the move from the Goldstone has entailed.

We went to Hove station to catch the Seagulls special to Cardiff last year.

The cars were parked by Hove Park at 7am and we stood for a couple of moments just reflecting and paying tribute to the old area.

Then we went on down to the station.

Many happy memories and obviously some not so happy from that last game. Oh how i wish we still played there. I really miss standing behind the goal in the North Stand. Those were the days when going to home games didn't stuck so much. The was pretty much always a good atmosphere at the Goldstone.

I was in the West Stand for the last game, and took my seat home with me. Everything after the final whistle was abit of a blur for some time. Took me ages to pluck up the courage to walk out those gates for the last ever time.

Will never go back there now though.
