Bruno has told Connor Goldson to shrug off his own goal – and put it down to bad luck.
The former Wolves schoolboy, who was born and brought up in Wolverhampton, diverted the only goal into his own net as Albion suffered another deflating 1-0 home defeat.
Right-back Bruno, who later hit the bar, is convinced Goldson, pictured below, can be a success for the Seagulls. And he does not want yesterday’s setback to change that.
Albion fans encouraged Goldson to forget the 32nd-minute mishap as they applauded his subsequent contributions.
Bruno told The Argus: “Connor did well again. I think he has now had two good games.
“He is a young player with great ability and fantastic potential.
“What he needs to do is keep playing as well as he has.
“What happened isn’t even an error, it’s bad luck. It doesn’t need to affect him at all.”
