after a few bevvies (purely medicianal, mind..), me and mates staggered o the nearby establishment for some late night culinary delights.

their chicken kebab with salad went down a treat. not sure abit the new decor, but hey, the food is most imprtant thing.

a good end to a rough week.

El Turkistan on Old Kent Road is the Best kebab in the UK, and many consumed from there sober. If your up at Millwall its worth trying to stop there, opposite Tescos. :flameboun

Yes. When I was at university. One of my housemates and me used to quite regularly eat doners for lunch, when we hadn't been drinking.

If they're well made it's as healthy as eating a sarnie or a roll.

Does anyone remember "Uncle Jims" which was down the bottom of New England Hill right on preston circus.

I'm going back a few years but they did the best kebabs in history...and their rum baba was pretty mean too.

Thursday nights consisted of an hour of 5 a side at the King Alfred, donner kebab and a few cans of guinness at home

The charcoal grill in Lewes is pretty good too. Might pop in for one on my way home from the Dripping pan today !!!

ok, so where's the furthest from UK you have been, and had a kebab?

On holiday in Israel, a cafe on Tel Aviv beach (dont even think of swimming in the sea, there!) did falafel, a savoury version. quite nice, actually.

The best kebab I have ever had was near Coventrys old ground, absolutely amazing, I wanted to go back there last seaosn but as the new ground is so far form the old one I couldn't get away with it.

I don't think I have ever bought a Kebab. Apparently the reason you want food after drinking is because the booze numbs your stomach thus making it think its empty. However for some reason I never get this.
