Following the recurrence of Mcphees foot injury and taking into account Gerrard, Beckham etc am i right in thinking that these young men never wore Clarks Commandos ...or is it that this generation have not been encouraged enough to drink milk. What ever happened to Humphreys? I personally blame this largely on the demise of Nesquick and the increased use of soya milk.

How would they have survived if the laces were still in the ball!!!!

Here and There
I blame Thatcher for removing free milk at playschools in the early 80's.

Despite the fact that the third of a pint bottle, left outside in the sun, had curdled to almost yoghurty proportions by the time we got to drink it, in first break.

I do think milk and fruit should be actively encouraged in schools - and there are initiatives to do just this in West Sussex CC primary schools - which is GOOD NEWS.

sad for McPhee - but - can we get a proven striker to partner Leon now? - there must be someone we can get on loan who can score us a few goals at this level?

After being outbid last season by Mansfield for Trevor Benjamin and this season having Alun Armstrong snapped up by Darlington (scored a hat-trick on Saturday) it seems there is no way we can compete with the big League 2 clubs. So we need to look further afield..... Whose doing well in the Ryman League these days?

Has MM been given enough money? If he had, surely we would have someone by now!

If it wasnt for the fact that I'll get shot down in flames I would suggest that some of the begging bowl money was used for this purpose -
speculate to accumulate
cash=proven goal scorer+goals=points=survival in this division
simple maths to me

And me! IMHO all DK is doing is letting the club tick-over untill we get an answer on Falmer. Going up was clearly not intended as there appears to be no finance in place to support it. MM is doing an outstanding job, with one hand tied behind his back. It is great to see him bringing the youngsters through, but Leon needs a real strike partner - NOW!

This is posted without any disrespect to Adam Virgo, but he is no striker, just a great centre back trying really hard to play out of position (with some success I must say).

No good having a half empty new stadium and playing lower league football - I see MM said today no funds for experienced players and the Nicholas deal is stalling due to lack of cash
I'm not saying spend recklessly but we mustnt take our eye of the playing side in the battle for falmer

I agree. However, this probably warrants a new (less obscure) thread to discuss it. So I have started one.
