Globetrotting Albion close in on Manu [The Argus]

Albion are closing in on Feyenoord winger Elvis Manu in a feverish end to the transfer window.
The globetrotting Seagulls are busy at home and abroad in their quest to add another winger and striker to the squad before the window shuts on Tuesday.
The club had talks in Argentina with Boca Juniors about their 21-year-old forward Jonathan Calleri without an agreement being reached.
Diminutive Swindon winger Nathan Byrne and 17-year-old striker Jodi Jones, from Dagenham and Redbridge, are also on their radar.
But the Argus understands a move for Manu is currently the closest to being concluded.
The 22-year-old is thought to have held talks with Albion over a £1.5 million move to the Amex.
They have emerged as favourites to land him in the face of competition from Premier League newcomers Watford, German side Bayer Leverkusen and Portugese giants Sporting Lisbon.

Securing two more attacking options would round off a successful summer transfer window for Albion after bringing in eight players already on permanent deals to improve the first team squad and keeping hold of Lewis Dunk. Boss Chris Hughton said: "I'm certainly happy with what we've bought in so far. We've benefitted from a more stable summer than perhaps the club has had in the last couple of summers and I think that has gone some way to where we are at the moment."
