GLADIATOR on Channel 4 tonight.,..

[Easy 10]

One of the best films of the last 10 years, highly recommended to anyone who hasn't seen it. Russell Crowe, Richard Harris, Oliver Reed all at their finest, and a superb performance from Jaoquin Phoenix as the crushingly insecure but evil Emperor.

Stirring battles, great dialogue, and sumptuous settings. Look out for the scene in Caesars tent in Germania, where Marcus Aurelius asks Maximus to become Protector of Rome - it's shot and lit so well it looks for all the world like an oil painting. Director Ridley Scott is a genius.

Absolutely top drawer. What say you, GG ?

Reese Witherspoon is such a BABE, but that film gets annoying after a while. Switch over for the bikini scene about 25 minutes in, then get back to Gladiator. That would be my recommendation.
