Former Premiership footballer David Ginola is to star as a doctor in TV hospital drama Holby City, it has been reported.
The Frenchman will appear in a special episode set in Paris due to be filmed next week, according to The Sun.
The former Aston Villa, Spurs and Newcastle star, 47, is keen to try out acting after his retirement from football.
He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts last year.
The Sun quotes a BBC source as saying: "He sees this as his big break into the BBC, and it could lead to other meaty roles."
