get rid of this white elephant, we all paid for it and no one not even the club can be arsed to take it.

It would have looked great today....

Why didn't I take it I hear you say - I don't drive, so can't put it in my rucksack!

get it out or get rid IMHO!

....

I think everyone was too busy sorting out balloons, wigs, face masks etc and kind of forgot about it.

Mind you I wasn't allowed to put up a banner today so not sure the flag would have been welcomed.

Not a cas of can't be bothered I just haven't had time this week.

I took it to Bristol and it is a lot of hard work.

Get rid of it where? Is it costing anything to keep it?

What is your moan exactly?

What we need is someone to take charge of the flag.

Someone who goes to most away games, and has the ability to organise enough people to be able to carry/fold up etc.

Yorkie?

Normally Superphil or Downloaded Penguin take it.

I don't mind now and again but it is so large it has trouble going in the boot of our Mondeo.

We have to get permission from the Safety Officer at each club and they're not always that helpful.

There are at least two coaches at every away game that has holds big enough to carry it.....

So who goes to the shed to drag it out carry it around to the car park and lift it into the coach?

Needs at least 4 strong men

Today it would have been ONE MORE THING TO WORRY ABOUT IMHO re wigs, balloons, one site in brighton posters, masks, F knows what else.

The flag is there. If people want to take it they can. If no-one does then never mind.

It is a reasonable hassle to take it - you need a half-empty car, to get to the ground early enough to park reasonably close, at least four people who are equally keen to carry it - and it's still quite heavy, not to be too bothered about going to the pub first, able to hang around at the end to retrieve it etc etc....

What really annoys me is when people say THE FLAG MUST GO but obviously I can't take it because because because blah blah blah...

Too bloody true it means sacrificing pre-match drinkies etc which I suspect no-one wants to do.

I don't mind that bit. The most awkward bit I found was returning it to Withdean.

having helped set it up for the REMF game I can say its one heavy bastard and thats with 4 men carrying it, we only tied it up to the seats but arranging it to go over heads then collecting it at the other end, folding it all up. It takes time and I would'nt wanna do it! Fair enough it can go on a coach easy enough but they have to park right next to the ground, no-one will carry it half a mile to a ground.

keep it at home Yorkie.

I'd help stump up to pay for any extra insurance cover you might need.

To get out of my home to my car I have to walk up 14 steps so totally impractical.
