Just read 'The Signalman' thread - got me thinking.

When were you last genuinely frightened watching/listening to a ghost story?

I saw 'The Woman In Black' at the Theatre Royal a few years back. Cacked myself.

Also Michael Hordern in 'Oh, Whistle, and I'll Come to You, My Lad'.

must say that this is not on thread but I was encouraged to have a look at THE ATLANTIC PARANORMAL SOCIETY, (TAPS), you tube library. I considered TAPS to be a collection of bad tatoo's and nonsense but..............

Put in "TAPS top 10" and boy there is this bit with a "ghost" in the door next to them, which, if true, is astonishing.........

Enjoy your Friday people

Seen The Woman in Black twice and thought it was brilliant, never thought theatre could be scary until then.

Seen the Woman In Black 3 times now and would quite happily sit through it again. Every time she walks through the audience, it sends shivers up my spine.

How strange then to see, as I passed by the Theatre Royal today, that the Woman In Black will be on in a months time.

never heard of it before, will try and get the Mrs to go. (Need a miracle!)

As a theatre experience, The Woman in Black is hard to beat. It is based on the novel by Susan Hill. Even after seeing the play I found the book quite chilling.

I've seen The Woman in Black, too - excellent. My flatmate saw Ghost Stories (Dyson, Nyman) and said it was scarier and more unsettling.

On the subject of ghosts, Rocky Lane in Haywards Heath is haunted after midnight by the railway bridge. I saw one right in the middle of the road a few years ago and it was f***ing terrifying. They've had to put fences up to stop people committing suicide.

Anyone else had experience of seeing ghosts in that part of H.H?

Seriously? What was it like ect? I'm very sceptical about supernatural stuff but I'm open minded. Not trying to be nosey just wondering like.

It was a woman that was alluminated. Looked just like a human being, something like that is impossible to forget. My mate was driving, before anyone says anything we were both stone cold sober and no hallucinating substances had been consumed.

The worst thing of all was the look on this woman's face. She looked really unhappy and troubled, St Francis hospital wasn't far away. Still gives me nightmares to this day.
