Why dont take a lock over sweden now when rami did a good game today? and by the lock swedish players dont demand that much money.
Maybe get a straong swedish defender?
A team start from the def. and go up.
There is a guy called Thomas Rosenqvist that is a good stricker and a good off. m.

Or am i on the wrong road now?

If I was Ben Roberts watching that game, a little chill would have gone down my frail spine.

I guess so... it seems Swarf is making the simple point that there are many good players available in Sweden, and it would be worth a look.

I guess we are already doing that - and having a player with good connections over there can only help too.

I thought Rami was excellent today - hope he signs to the end of the season and helps keep us in the Championship (where we belong on today's performance).

:clap2:

I thought it was agreed that he would be signing a contract on Monday.

I do hope so. We have been very lucky with goalkeepers of recent seasons (in terms of quality, not injuries obviously) and I look forward to Rami challenging FDM for the number 1 jersey next season. Although it seems a shame that one of our most consistent players this season could be a backup next season due to an unfortunate injury.

But at the same time I'm all for having top class players challenging for the same position.

It seems pretty certain that Mr Roberts will be off now though. I just hope he hasn't been out so long that he has trouble finding a new club.

Perhaps Lewes could take him on to put him in the shop windiw?

They said on Sky Rami was playing on a "non-contract basis" - what does that mean? Is it a register for the club and pay as you play style thing?

There is no way that I can see that he will stay past the end of the season, and that, next season, assuming that BR stays fit and that no one falls on top of him again, our two keepers will be Michel & Ben "get awey" Roberts.

Shaaban has admitted he wants to be put back in the shop window. I think he will only agree to sign until the end of the season so that Premiership or European clubs can look at him.

I'll take that for now.
McGhee has a habit of finding players that other overlook and polishing pebbles up to look like gems.
