Gerrard played three positions and none particually well.

left midfield - not effective, Cole did better when he came on
central midfield - not enough time there, big question mark over him & Frank
Right back - Strange decision taking off a right back and putting Gerrard there, look like a cope out of having to take him off!

I don't think we should drop Gerrard, that shot was saved by the keeper, Lampard and Gerrard in the middle are great centre midfielders for us.

Exactly what I think, it seems madness to drop Cole aswell, he has created so much for us on that left.

At the time I though it was harsh King was going off, Cole need to come on but Gerrard should of been the man tho go imho

Good job you're not running the team isn't it? No Gerrard-no cross for the second goal. As for Joe Cole-lots of Joneseyesque stepovers but what else?

Good point. We are lucky to have 2 great players effectively competing for the same position. Doesnt necessarily mean they should both be in the team.

Exactly. Shows how good Barca really are. They didn't need Riquelme because they have Deco, Xavi, Ronaldinho, Van Bommel, Giuly, etc.
