I don't know if this 'fixtures' or anything, but I was just wondering whether people thought it would be a good idea or not?

Yeah, the likes of Bale, Wilshere, Ramsey, Welbeck and Henderson in one team is just a great thought!

For the Olympics yes...

12 years ago when they had some players that could improve the England squad than yes but now the other nations seem too far behind

Clicked yes assuming it was for the Olympics.

Got tickets for Wembley can't wait first visit since the opening game vs Brasil.

Yep and why not? FIFA have given it their backing with assurances that it won’t affect the standing of the other home nations. That should be good enough. If for some reason those other countries don’t want to allow their players to play then it’s all very sad for those players that will miss out. I have tickets to three of the Wembley games and if it's team GB that I see I will be support all of the GB players not just the English ones should any English ones get picket to play.

Yes, whyever not?

Oh yeah, because Wales and Scotland are worried that they'll only be able to muster up one player between them so they keep going on about how it might threaten their ability to put out their own teams at future World Cups etc, despite the fact that a) they have written assurances from FIFA that this will not happen and b) they never get to World Cup's anyway.

You mean you don't think Bale, Ramsey and Adam would get in an England squad?!

I don't think football should be in the Games at all. If it must be though, then yes, we should field a team.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

OK, I'll stop sitting on the fence - that's a 'No' for me, then.

(And I don't trust ANYTHING that FIFA says)

Is it just me that feels it is a good idea however it should be made up of amature players. like boxing. Would be fun seeing your local sunday pub team run out at wembley to play Brazils finest ams.

I'm all for it. Of course it should and will be only for the Olympics, but it would be a shame for us (as GB) to not field a team as hosts.

will there be a rule to say that at least 3 players from each country i.e 3 Scottish, Welsh, etc...

alternatively it would just be England + Bale

'Arry to be manager

the whole team will likely be English anyway so what's the drama - I can't see why not though, don't really understand all the fuss, it's not like they will win....
