They were 14 points off safety with 7 games left, will be one of the greatest escapes in history if they manage to pull it off!

Amazing what momentum can do for you.

Their last fixture- ouch- is away at Carlisle.

Carlisle have dropped to third, but still have a decent chance of automatic promotion. On the other hand, their form this month has been dire, and morale must be low, so you wouldn't bet against the Dorset-dwelling granny-grabbers getting the win they need.

Last day fixtures:

Saturday, 03 May 2008
Brighton v Swansea
Carlisle v Bournemouth
Cheltenham v Doncaster
Crewe v Oldham
Leeds v Gillingham
Leyton Orient v Bristol Rovers
Luton v Huddersfield
Northampton v Tranmere
Nottm Forest v Yeovil
Southend v Port Vale
Swindon v Millwall
Walsall v Hartlepool

Some interesting fixtures, Forest still have a chance of going up automatically, ignoring the Leeds fiasco, but have to play their bogey team, Yeovil, while Bournemouth's main rivals for relegation, Cheltenham, have to play Doncaster, currently in second.

I hope Bournemouth stay up. It's a good away trip. Cheltenham bring nothing to League One. They should piss off back to non league.

B'muff certainly deserve it, after all they've had to, and still having to, put up with this season.

A young Worthing lad called Billy Franks made his debut for them the other night so I`m rooting for them.

Every season is the same, one or two of the more likely relegation sides get a couple of incredible, upset results against sides who ought to beat them off the park.
Then, they go down anyway.

Fulham, to be honest, weren't all that good yesterday, no more than they've been all year. The result didn't look to be as much to do with their passion and desire to win, as the crap City defence.

I'm hoping Birmingham join them in the drop - mainly because of how they dealt with Bruce (and now it looks like Wigan will survive).

I'm kinda glad Gold got hamstrung to stay up there too. Looking at how he was handling his exit from another club, didn't make me think his money is the sort we ought to be looking to have invested at The Albion really.

I hope B'muff stay up, good awayday. I'd love a day out at Fulham again, had some good ones there over the years. Fulham are a pretty harmless bunch too. I really would love to see that twat Madjeski's face if they were to go down. Matter of time for those fakes anyway.
If Birmingham did drop I think the porn peddlars would be keeping a very close eye on what happens at West Ham.
