So what's the answer ?

From WHAT we know Forster done something he should not have and I would agree he needs to answer for that, perhaps he should publicly apologise and deserves to be dropped for 1 match.

Poyet needs to show who is in charge but this needs to be resolved and quickly, we are not in a position to take the high ground on this one with our pathetic goal scoring record, this could be the difference in us staying up or going down, I can't see anyone else likley to scoring the amount of goals we need.

The club may want to keep this inside but I say bollox to that, stop calling yourselves fans, WE are the club and we deserve an outcome to this.

Forster your a Brighton player till the end of the season at least, get back and do your job and what we love you for.

General Poyet, point made but don't leave your best weapon on the shelf.

I guess it depends on lots of factors.

I would be pretty pissed off if I were disciplined and my company decided to tell our customers about it.

I agree the situation needs to be resolved, but some things are better sorted behind closed doors.

Holroyd and Murray are the future, Forster has burnt bridges to an irreparable state imo..

It's obvious Forster wants to stay and cares about the club, otherwise we wouldnt be in this situation.

Why would he have turned up to watch least night in the freezing cold if he didnt care. Give him a year, let him get on with keeping us in this division

I'd agree but do we know he would accept a year?

I think Forster's main gripe was the lack of communication. It wasn't that he wasn't getting the contract he wanted, it was that it has not even been discussed.

I personally don't care what is going on. Forster is one most potent goal threat. He should be in the team. I would like to think Poyet and he were professional enough to leave differences on the sidelines.

.

That is how it come across to me as well, the club has had the accusation that they drag their feet on contract negotiations before and Forster alluded to it a couple of months ago I seem to remember.

Gonna be hard to build bridges I fear, without a big backdown from one or both parties.

What worries me is the apparent lack of man-management. Whatever Forster may or may not have said/done, it should never get to a situation where players are left out of the squad, especially in our current position.

We know nothing. There may be very good reasons why Gus wants Fossie out. He may see him as the problem rather than the solution - we are just not there to see what goes on so who knows other than them?

We have to trust that Gus is right and the decisions he makes are in the best interest of the team. It seems to me SLade was avery good manager who did not stand up to the strong ones in the squad and lost control (again I don't know - it just seems that way). It is important that everyone knows who is boss - perhaps that is more important than Fozzie being in the team.

We know nothing so difficult to say how it should get sorted. What we do know is the club has history in not sorting contracts until the end of the season and difficult to argue when we don't know what league we will be in, and therefore how much money we will have, next season. Don't know why El-Abd was the exception maybe other clubs were sniffing around and Poyet wanted to get him tied down rather than losing him on a free or for a small amount last month

Forster may be one of those players that Gus wants to wait and see on, after all he is getting on a bit in football age terms and is probably one of the higher paid. El Abd is much younger and probably much cheaper - we will always need El Abd type players in the squad and it's probably better to tie him on on a longer contract now than try and replace him from outside at more cost.

This may well be the case, and seems the most obvious cause of 'Forstergate', BUT he is the club captain and there are the correct channels for escalating your contract concerns.

Interesting what Virgo said about this on Radio Sussex - something like Nicky has made his decision and we have to accept that.

Finally on a positive note, even though we did not win, as an overall performance it is the best I have seen us play at home all season.
