Forster-Caskey targets place in England under-21s squad [The Argus]

ALBION midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey says teaming up with Harry Kane and other top English talent this summer would make him a better player.
Forster-Caskey has been a regular for Gareth Southgate’s under-21s and is on course to make the squad for the Euro finals in the Czech Republic in June.
He told The Argus: “You’ve got to stay confident and get your mind like you are going to be on the plane but it’s not down to me. I’ll be honoured if I do get picked.
“I think it will improve me as a player. I’ve seen clips and videos of players that have played in that tournament and there’s some real talent that’s been and I’m sure there’s some real talent that’s going to go, so hopefully I am on the plane.”
Southgate has kept faith with Forster-Caskey, despite his struggle for game time since Chris Hughton took charge of Albion.

The 21-year-old made only his second start since early February as the Seagulls closed their home campaign with a 2-0 defeat by leaders Watford. Forster-Caskey, a regular in the first half of the season under ex-boss Sami Hyypia, said: “My body has felt fine, it’s just a case that I haven’t been picked.“I do everything exactly the same the whole year so it’s not down to me to pick myself. It’s down to the manager and I respect any decision that he makes.”
