For those of you who enjoy a sporting biopic this is the story of former German POW Bert Trautmann who famously went on to play for Manchester City with his most celebrated appearance when City won the1956 FA Cup final when he played with a broken neck.
Hope it's not an omen.

Trautmann’s Journey is a book worth reading. Looking forward to seeing the film version of his life. Inspiration guy despite playing for citee.

Strictly speaking they weren't actually Citeh in those days as we know them today so he can be forgiven. He faced a lot of animosity in Manchester when he first started playing for them because of his background especially from the Jewish community but he soon won them over. He made his anti-nazi feelings quite clear.
