Here is the format for this year's NSC Ryder Cup. 28 matches in total are played comprising of 8 foursomes, 8 fourballs and 12 singles.
Day 1 consists of 4 foursomes followed by 4 fourballs.
Day 2 consists of 4 foursomes followed by 4 fourballs.
Day 3 consists of 12 singles.
A foursome is a match whereby all 4 players play their own ball and the lowest score wins the hole.
A fourball consists of the 2 team members alternating shots playing 1 ball only. For the purpose of this game, I will alternate which player plays the hole as the dice do not cover individual shots.
A singles match is a straight player v player match play shoot out.
Captains - you will need to PM me your order of play for each session. You can select all sessions in one go if you like or just one at a time. It would be preferable to do one day's worth at a time as I will probably run the game over 3 days. So, for Monday, I will need your pairings for 4 foursomes and 4 fourballs. You will then have until Tuesday morning to PM me your pairings for the second day. Please PM me if this is not clear.
Please note - only 8 players will be involved in any one session until the singles so the captains will have to leave 4 people out. Whether they are ruthless and leave the same 4 players out every time or operate a "sqaud rotation" system is up to them. Please fell free to bombard them with requests/pleas/bribes to induce them to pick your player.
As a recap for non-captain's, you will not need to do anything to play - just sit back and watch how your player does.
