With Liverpool and Spurs seemingly about to be taken over by mega rich investers are we soon going to see the first 100 million pound player?
All these take overs are bad and will lead to a reforming of the leagues in my view due to the fact even the richer Championship clubs (Palace, Birmingham etc) cant afford to get promoted which is harming football, it used to be the case clubs cant afford to be relegated.
Money has always been in football but it seems more and more is being put in and I really dont think it will be long before the first club will go bust, more than likely a club that has been in the top flight than in the lower league as they were "living the dream"
As a Spurs fan I get put off by going to more than 5 or 6 games a season due to the cost, £50 for a ticket last boxing day for a game against Birmingham was a joke, even tho the players on show where a higher class than the Championship is it really worth more than double a ticket for a average side hosting a relegation side?
