Having seen every league game so far (missed Bristol R away)
Must say, the standard of the matches has been very poor.We have not played well in any game, yet have only lost one.Compared to last season we can improve and play alot more football. The players are capable and we should be looking more confident.
Problem is perhaps we are expecting to much and we as fans expect the team to walk all over sides. We have no devine right to piss this league we have to battle and deserve victories.
Swindon wanted it more then the team on Saturday.
Have we got to many players who won div 2 before, having come up from div 3, who think that they are good enough to just turn out ?Have a few turned into prima donnas ?
When we came up from div 3 into this league we had sargeant major Adams knocking them into shape and getting them into the right frame of mind. Now having come down from div one thay have tasted the near big time at good grounds etc ,have they got a hang up about being back in div two ?
I think we will get it right and if we do start performing at our true ability we should get promoted, the attitude has to change.

Well said, I have only been to Oldham and Plymouth and must say I have not been impressed, although QPR on telly was a slight improvement. Plymouth game we were very poor in periods of the game and Oldham we played a troubled side at the right time of the season.

On NSC for over two decades...
There is bound to be a period of adjustment as the boys get used to Division Two again, not having BZ up-front, and having every other team gunning for us as the alledged 'Big Boys'. Despite the awful display against Swindon I'm encouraged that we are picking up points, I'm sure Sir Steve will get the lads playing again soon.

I think the team needs to learn how to play with Leon Knight, plus the midfield is still dealing with the loss of Brooker, hopefully Coppell is on the lookout for somebody to link up with the front two a bit more as Kanchelskis clearly isn't signing (damn ruski).

From what i've seen Jones looks to be a big piece of the jigsaw this season.

I agree, particularly re Nathan Jones. It would be nice to see all that skill put to good use rather than showboating in front of the South Stand.

It would be fantastic to see Nathan really turn it on this season.
