Football advice for a child

We have some wacky friends with a new baby boy.

They have asked us all to contribute some words/thoughts/poems/advice that they are going to put in a book for him to help him along life's highway.

As his parents neither know or care about football, I feel that this is an opportunity to pass on some words of wisdom from NSC.

Does anyone have anything they would like to contribute - beyond the "When i was just a little boy, I asked my mother what should I be.." song?
