First Programme At Falmer

Don't suppose the club could break with a long and gormless tradition by actually printing enough programmes to go around for the first match at Falmer, working on the assumption that they might be, y'know, a bit popular? Maybe put them in newsagents, go the extra mile, sell them by mail order, something like that. As a yardstick, they maybe shouldn't all be gobbled up by those that arrive an hour before kick-off.

Oh, and could you print off another, say 5000, of today's programme while you're at it.

We've been selling the programme by mail order for years now. On top of the 400 pre-orders and regular mail-order subscribers, the club printed 5000 copies today (usually we sell 2000 - and throw away several hundred) and felt that would be enough, however, we are running off another 2000 for order via the shop - so if you didn't get a copy you will be able to order one online from Tuesday. Additionally, we will print around 20000 for the first game at Falmer, which we would hope will be more than enough to cater for the demand. However, if you are worried, you will be able to pre-order.

As for your suggestion about newsagents, that is something we have tried (as contrary to your comments we do fully appreciate fans would quite like this), but as yet have been unable to find a distributor who will take on the programme. In the new Amex era, that may of course change!
