Findon win Village Cup QF

May I just congratulate Findon Cricket Club from West Sussex who today won at Rowledge in Surrey in the National Village Cricket Cup Quarter-Final. Findon scored 181-9 off their 40 overs and bowled Rowledge out for 161 with 9 balls to go. The fielding in the game by both teams was really good with Rowledge taking 7 catches including 4 outstanding ones. Congratulations to Graham Waller and his team, they will face an away trip to either a team from South Wales, Cresselly, or Oxford Down from Oxford in the Semi-Final in 2 weeks time with the Final at Lord's just one game away. The support for Findon easily outnumbered the home side and I know was really appreciated by the whole team. Well done if you were there.

Having played (usually lost!) against Findon many times it is a real pleasure to see them doing so well in the NVKO... they have a great club spirit, play the game in the correct manner and I'm not surprised that they were well supported on Sunday
