Here is his list of gigs:

Newcastle Northumbria University (October 13)
Sheffield University Octagon (14)
Liverpool University (15)
Manchester Academy 1 (16)
Nottingham Trent University (20)
Norwich UEA (21)
Leeds University (22)
Cardiff University (23)

No Brighton date?

What is he playing at?

Or will he slip a date in later on?

He didn't do one before when he toured, I don't see what the point would be to be honest.

Would that be at the student union, Richie? It's a massive place that, should be well good.

ain't as big as ours though, we've got the biggest in the country and yes, we are disproportionately proud of that!

Has he ever "gigged" properly, or is it still just DJ sets

He never seems to play his own stuff on tour, which kinda defeats the purpose, but....

Yours may be the biggest but Hulls won the award for the best student venue in the country, has a £4m purpose built club on the side and holds 1,500 people on a Saturday night...going up to nearly 2,000 when the second room opens in september.

so nerr.

Why the hell is he doing college gigs?

In my day, college gigs were either for bands on their way up or bands on their way out.

Is Madonna playing Loughborough Uni? Did Britney rock up at Brunel? I don't think so.

Paul McCartney was once tavelling with his band Wings somewhere (I think it was in Norfolk and phoned up what has now become UEA, but it might have been in Nottingham and he phoned one of their's) anyway, he phoned them up and asked if they minded if he and the band came and did a gig that night. They didn't mind, so they did the gig.

So, yeah, big names did do college gigs.

:)

oh, and the Oxbridge colleges, particularly the rich ones often such as St. John's and Trinity get big names for their balls such as, off the top of my head, Blur.
